1/12/11 -- Cinderella Update!

I'm back!!  No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth but, boy, some days it sure felt like it.  The holidays were a blur of friends, family, lights and all the good things that come with that time of the year.  With all the extra activities going on, finding time to stitch was nearly impossible.

I'm happy to say that the other day I pulled everything out for Cinderella and slowly started working on it again.  There isn't a whole lot of progress to get excited about, but with a project of this size I'm going to say that a little work is most definitely better than none at all.

Most of the work I've done is in the top right corner.  This sky is MONSTROUS in size and can be quite boring to work on.  I'm going to power through it though... can't wait to get to some characters!

I hope you all are enjoying a fabulous New Year and that you stick to all your resolutions.  My list for this year includes reading through the Bible chronologically (so far, so good), getting at least halfway done with this particular cross stitch (meh... working on it) and saving $2000 (haven't even started!)

Have a great day!

good progress! Do you have tissue paper over your stiches on the left side with your frame? My BATB one is getting big enough that I have to put the hoop over existing stitches and I think it's damaging them ....

Happy New Year! You've cause this project (and all the other ones in this series) to be placed on my (ever-expanding) wish list. Sigh. Until then, I will live vicariously through you!

Abbybeth: Nope, it's actually a piece of felt. The frame I'm using isn't an official q-snap and the pieces are smooth, so I have to pad them a little bit to keep it tight. It has the added bonus of protecting the stitches as well!

Ewa: Always happy to be of service! =)

Lesley and Wendy: Thank you so much!! =)

It looks beautiful. I have loved the Disney Series I have resisted buying them as my stash is sitting pretty at 195. But looking at your work I can feel my resistance breaking down. I think I'll take the same track as Ewa for now and just live vicariously through your lovely work. So now you're stitching for 3 LOL! No pressure xoxo
